Fossil Fools Day – April 1st 2005


Fossil Fools Day was an early attempt at breaking into new audiences with a message of climate awareness and action. Developed by the Energy Action Coalition, FFD seeks to point out the insanity of compromising our global climate system in the pursuit of short term, unsustainable energy sources. In addition to promoting the day of action to campuses across Canada, I organized activities at Concordia, which included a small fair in the Hall Building, the construction of a dinosaur sculpture made out of used plastic water bottles, and an evening of trivia and prizes in the campus pub, Reggie’s.
